The Home Buying Process
My Role
First, I will explain how the application and approval process works. I will not refer you to a video; I will personally explain this to you. I will answer your questions before starting an application.
Second, I need to get you pre-approved, meaning that after reviewing your income, assets, and credit, and determine your budget.
Third, I make sure this qualification is airtight by collecting income and asset documentation BEFORE you start looking at houses. Many lenders advertise the ease of their application process. Trust me – the less intrusive the process feels up front, the less valuable the pre-approval is to you.
Fourth, I will explain your options and make recommendations for your best mortgage option based on your personal financial goals.
Fifth, I will help you get under contract with a seller by providing a property-specific pre-approval letter for each of your offers.
Sixth, my team and I will take you across the finish line to ensure you get the keys to your home!
VA Lending
A Veteran's Perspective
I am well versed in several mortgage lending programs including, conventional loans (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac), FHA, USDA, and especially VA loans. As a veteran and VA borrower, I am familiar with not only VA lending regulations, but the peculiarities of the military lifestyle – the complexities of PCS moves, military pay, the orders process, and much more.
All mortgage lenders claim to serve veterans, but their knowledge is limited to a banking perspective. I understand your situation because I was in your situation.
